ghost-hunting through painting, beacons & an LLM
“Seance” is an innovative art project, a collaboration between me and the artist Vandalo Ruins at the Oculus Center, featuring a series of ghost-themed paintings. Each painting is embedded with a Bluetooth beacon, making them interactive through a séance app that uses proximity to unlock unique experiences tied to each painting.
What sets “Seance” apart is the use of a Language Learning Model (LLM) to train each painting differently, resulting in a diverse range of ghostly encounters. Significant effort was put into simplicity and accessibility, a tool befitting 2023 standards for ghost hunting.
The seamless integration of art, technology, and interactivity redefines the concept of ghost hunting, a pioneering step in the fusion of traditional art with modern technology. A unique way to experience the supernatural.
