squatters × videocittà 2024_

At Videocittà 2024, Squatters Lab presented a series of interactive installations dedicated to research across artificial intelligence, interaction design and real-time audiovisual languages. The collective developed two site-specific works based on real-time generative systems, exploring the relationship between body, image and space through StreamDiffusion and particle interaction systems.

The installations turned the audience’s presence into an active element of the work. Movement and interaction became data capable of modifying and generating dynamic visual environments, creating a continuous dialogue between spectator and machine.

Within the space curated by Squatters Lab, artist Torin Blankensmith presented Marble Mirror, an interactive installation developed with MediaPipe. Real-time body tracking captures participants’ movements and transforms them into an immersive visual experience.
